[Windmill-dev] Regressions

We're running in to more and more regressions lately.

The unittests have been flushing out a lot of these, and having them
run before each checkin is definitely decreasing the amount of
breakage, but the untittests only run on the OS that you are on.

I'd like to have a continuous test system up running a subset of the
windmill unittests ( off the top of my head i would say they should
run the test_live tests, but not the other tests).

I don't want to just throw OSAF hardware resources at this problem, I
think we should try to make this a sustained community effort.

I can host a buildbot master server that collects data from the
buildbot slaves out there on the web. I have a server hosted on lots
of bandwidth in a data center that can do this. This box can also
provide a web interface, iRC bot, email notificaitons, anything else
we need -- it just can't run any tests since there is no GUI on the box.

I have a spare G5 iMac that can run tests from Midnight to 6am
everyday. The rest of the time it's in active use.

Does anyone else in the community have boxes with spare cycles?

Does anyone have a better system we should use than buildbot?
