Hi Andi,
I've created binary packages for ubuntu 7.10. I understand that it's too
late since ubuntu is going to be upgraded next month, but I've created a
simple mechanism for packaging and I'm probably do the same for the next
release, 8.04.
Packages are available for i386 and amd64 architectures, and are splitted
into two debs: jcc and pylucene.
As I currently have no permanent repository to put it, I uploaded to a
filebin - it's in a rotating pool of space and can be removed at anytime.
http://filebin.ca/gwckaj/python-jcc_2.3.1-1_amd64.deb
http://filebin.ca/mtoyr/python-jcc_2.3.1-1_i386.deb
http://filebin.ca/hzdgv/python-pylucene_2.3.1-1_amd64.deb
http://filebin.ca/mtwjgw/python-pylucene_2.3.1-1_i386.deb
I kept some important files like README, CHANGES and LICENSE
(/usr/share/doc/xxx/copyright) and didn't touch them. Also, I added the
original samples to /usr/share/doc/python-pylucene.
Anyway, If you want to check the contents before installing, here it goes
(you probably know):
$ ar vt python-jcc_2.3.1-1_amd64.deb
rw-r--r-- 0/0 4 Mar 22 11:48 2008 debian-binary
rw-r--r-- 0/0 939 Mar 22 11:48 2008 control.tar.gz
rw-r--r-- 0/0 102368 Mar 22 11:48 2008 data.tar.gz
By using 'ar x' you can extract and see it for yourself.
Regards
AF
