[pylucene-dev] building on ubuntu 8.04 P4

Hi,
 I successfully built jcc and pylucene on my ubuntu 8.04 pentium 4
laptop. When i try to run my scripts (changed the PyLucene package to
lucene), I get a segmentation fault. I tried the debian  packages out
there and they required the sun-java6-jre dependecy, which I installed,
but still said the dependency wasn't met.

any tips?
