I think you can use Lucene on Nutch Index. I have been using nutch as a
searcher and indexer, but once i needed to write some quick scripts on the
nutch index, i did it with pyLucene. It was Nutch 0.7 though (0.8 and
further have been shipped with Hadoop Distributed File System funtionality
and do i am not sure u can use those map-reduce api's directly in pyLucene).
