I compiled gcc into user local in order for it not to conflict with any of
the systems gcc tools:
[root at s3 pylucene-trunk]# which gcj
/usr/local/bin/gcj
[root at s3 pylucene-trunk]# gcj --version
gcj (GCC) 3.4.6
Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
