It exports it again anytime I changed the Lucene svn version used to build 
PyLucene from PyLucene's svn trunk. It also does it everytime you remove that 
directory or use 'make realclean'. If you don't either of these then I don't 
think it's that often these days...

Anyway, I could have used 'svn update' instead but it becomes hairy because I 
apply patches to that directory and these could cause conflicts once the 
Lucene sources change again.

Another way to avoid the repeated large downloads is to always build from the 
last source tarball I uploaded to http://pylucene.osafoundation.org, the fixes 
I check in in response to mail here are attached to the responses as patches 
too.
