I have never tried FC3. But it's worked on FC4 and FC5 (gcj 3.4.x, with x >= 
2). It also works on Gentoo 2005 and Ubuntu 6.06 with the same compiler. 
Problems start when using the gcj 4.x compiler on Linux...
