Ah, OK. I really know nothing about gcc/gcj. It seemed to me that gcc 
and gcj versions weren't connected, but maybe they are then... The 
latest version of gcj for Ubuntu is 4.1, but the latest of gcc is 4.0, 
and there are gcc 3.3 and 3.4 available, but not gcj 3.x...

It's quite confusing. :)

So I'll try compiling gcc from source, then...
