Send you the binaries for PyLucene or gcj 3.4.6 on Ubuntu ?

Anyway, I'm on dialup with only sporadic broadband access in Europe for the
next two months, I doubt I can sustain large downloads too well.

I can package up a set of Ubuntu 6.06 PyLucene binaries built with gcj 3.4.6
and upload them to the PyLucene website probably by Thursday of Friday.

Building gcj 3.4.6 on Ubuntu is not that hard provided you have installed the
usual compiler dev tools on your system. Then following the instructions in
PyLucene's INSTALL on building your own gcj should be easy enough.
This is exactly what I did and it didn't take too long on my Ubuntu
installation running inside a parallels vm on my intel mac laptop.

Andi..
