It's time to ask java at gcc.gnu.org as I've got not access to a Solaris
system 
and have never tried to use gcj on this OS. It looks like your gcj 
implementation is missing a bunch of stuff. Did you build gcj yourself
or 
install it from somewhere ?

Also, please send questions to pylucene-dev at osafoundation.org instead of
me 
personally. You're likely to getter better help from a larger number of 
people.
