[pylucene-dev] pylucene and 2gb limit of files

These issues only apply to threaded use, right?  I'm running gentoo's 
gcc 4.1.1 as my system compiler, and I've had no trouble with PyLucene 
yet.  I haven't done anything fancy yet under Linux though, so is 
running the gentoo 4.1.1 compiler going to bite me once I start using 
threads?
