[General] "4 static pages": What about screenshots?

I like the colloquy cluster of thumbnails as a gateway to more detail.
It is similar in approach to the  screenshots and demos section on
http://chandler.osafoundation.org/. If we has something visual on the
landing page it  could link to a "whirlwind section" at the top of
either the what's new page or the Getting Started Guide.
