Update on ops team discussions:

+ Most conversations about overall project coordination have moved to
the "Preview" meeting (and to this list):

+ Sheila did a feature review for Mitch back in April, and he is now
actively using desktop and hub. He'll send feedback to the users list.

+ We have a few OSCON presentations: one on open design (Mimi and Ted),
one on the windmill automated testing framework (Mikeal and Adam), and a
lightning talk on the state of the project (me). Bryan Stearns, Brian
Moseley and Robin Dunn will also attend the conference. At OSCON we'll
have "launch" cards with the new logo and the tagline.

+ We've had several conversations about better communication, from being
more consistent about posting meeting notes and bug council decisions on
lists, to doing more blog posts about project happenings. We'll probably
see more emphasis on this post-preview. We'll move to sending out ops
team meeting notes each week (as Heikki did this week).

+ We've also discussed decision making at OSAF, what is working and what
needs to be improved. We have our governance principles as a guide; the
ops team often discusses specific examples. We've been trying to be more
clear (on lists) who is the "owner/driver" of various decisions or
issues, when that is not obvious from project roles.

+ Jared gave us an overview on metrics (from Chandler Hub and from other
sources like wiki, websites, mailing lists). More to come from Jared.

+ We talked about how to better integrate the service into release
planning and problem tracking. Decisions: Jared is running a release
meeting for server and hub; open issues with the production service are
to be discussed at the Preview meeting; we're using bugzilla to track
problems with the production service (tracking under the "Sharing
Service" bugzilla product).

+ Ted is the "owner/driver" of the launch plan for Preview; we're
discussing that on the pr list.

Cheers,
Katie
