Highlights:

+ We made a tentative decision to choose "Chandler" as the "brand" name.
This name will apply to the desktop application, the web client, the
server and the service (Cosmo and osaf.us). We're investigating whether
or not we are likely to get the trademark. We won't be able to get
chandler.com, chandler.org or chandler.net domains, but have a few other
alternatives. The branding team has started work on the logo.

+ We created a chandler-users list, moving end-user discussions off of
design and dev lists. (This list applies to end-users of both the
desktop app as well as the Cosmo UI and osaf.us). We'd like to reach out
to very-early-adopter users even before Preview, to help us "dogfood"
and shake out problems. We have a few people helping out this way now.
(Thanks Davor and Andre!)

+ We observed that a few of our dogfooders here in the office had
trouble migrating data from Outlook. (The tool that exported data to an
.ics file messed up timezones and other information, so Jeffrey had to
patch up the file before we could get the dogfooders up and running.)
Sheila (PPD) took the project of figuring out how we'll tackle migration
from other products. (The solution will likely involve having tested-out
directions for Outlook and iCal, and a wiki for people to collaborate on
working out problems with other apps.)

+ Our internal IT team asked about using Cosmo for conference room
scheduling in our building (with several other organizations). Preview
might not have all of the features we'd need to make this really work,
but we might want to set that as a goal sometime during 2007. Sheila
will investigate the gap, and figure out what it would take to make this
happen.

+ We discussed other IT projects: bugzilla upgrade is on the shortlist.

+ We had an on-site week (many remote devs come out to the SF office for
the week.) We didn't do a lot of advance planning this time, just the
regular activities but with everyone in person.

+ We prepared a blog entry about where OSAF is now in anticipation of
Scott's book: http://wp.osafoundation.org/

+ We're planning on submitting talks to OSCON, given that it will be
after Preview.

Cheers,
Katie
