Doesn't work for me today, but I would be interested.

I don't know of any other code issues you listed (well, haven't really
looked), but I'd like to change the directory structure and names of
things. Ideally something like this:

tools/cats
tools/cats/data
tools/cats/functional
tools/cats/performance

tools/QALogger.py -> tools/cats/logger.py
tools/QAUITestApplib.py -> tools/cats/guitestlib.py

Perf*NewEventCalView.py -> Perf*NewEventDoubleClick.py
Perf*NewEventFileMenu.py -> Perf*NewEventMenu.py
*LargeData* -> ?

Rationale: I am tired of typing these long names and caps :)

Of course, if any of this gets done it will need to be coordinated with
all the scripts that use these things. And after 0.6.
