[Dev] refactored main calendar merging into main, so look out for weirdness

With M4 done, we're merging in the new & shiny refactored main calendar UI  
code.  It's just been committed.  There's one especially noticeable bug:  
on mac & windows, if you create a new repository, you can't see the  
all-day area until you resize the window.
