[Dev] wxPython 2.5.2.9 + other updates landed

Yesterday I landed the wxPython 2.5.2.9 upgrade changes, along with 
other pending changes in external and internal (PyLucene 0.6.1 upgrade, 
bug 1468 - debug bzip2 + zlib for debug python, fixed debug 
RunPython.bat). Also we switched our main Linux build machine to a 
Fedora Core 2 - this most likely means that if you are not running 
Fedora Core 2 you will need to start doing full builds on Linux.

The wxPython upgrade has still some issues that we decided we wanted to 
fix on the trunk rather than wait with the upgrade. They are marked with 
'Wx252x' in the status whiteboard and these are the known issues:

If you find new wxPython regressions, please file the bugs and add 
'Wx252x' into the status whiteboard.


We also seem to have intermittent  problems on alanui running unit 
tests. Specifically, TestSimpleQueries.py fails. I suspect this might be 
a regression from PyLucene upgrade, but cannot be certain. I filed bug

Windows tinderbuilds are also having issues. While running debug unit 
tests, Python crashes most of the time, which stops the tinderbox client 
(Windows helpfully puts up a dialog box that nobody is around to 
dismiss, it being an unattended build machine). I'm working on this - it 
could affect you in normal Windows settings as well.


I am not aware of other issues, but please keep your eyes open - there 
are likely to be more.
