[Dev] Alert -- Potential Wiki performance problems

Hello folks.
We have recently been testing a new Wiki Plugin (Alias Plugin - <
http://wiki.osafoundation.org/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/AliasPlugin >) with
some novel modifications. This is supposed to allow us to create a
"blacklist" of CamelCase words that are often used in the content of
OSAF Wiki pages, but are not intended to be links to other Wiki pages.
Examples of these terms are MacOS, WebDAV, WxWidgets, PyLucene, OpenSSL,
HartHat, DnD, etc.
Usually a CamelCase word that was not intended to be a Wiki link would
appear as a hyperlink in the text, e.g. "CamelCase?" unless the author
inserted a <nop> prefix. This effort would have to be repeated with
every instance of the term. With the new plugin if the term "CamelCase"
is included once in the blacklist/<nop> table then you can use that term
everywhere in any of the OSAF wikis without having to use the <nop>
prefix and without inadvertently creating the "?" link.
However, we found there were some anomalies in the plugin that caused
page loading problems. We think we have a work around for that, but for
the time being, if you notice any performance problems or if a
particular Wiki page hangs -- PLEASE let us know what the problem was
and on which page.
You can send e-mail to both Pieter and Ducky.
