OSAF Wiki users:
I just switched the default skin on the wiki to a new one that should be
more useful. A discussion of the changes is way below.
I've tested on a number of different platforms and browsers, but haven't
tested on Opera, Galleon, Konquerer, etc. If you see something badly
broken on your platform/browser, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. It's very easy to
revert to the old skin at a moment's notice.
FYI, if you don't want to print the sidebar, you can always get a page
with minimal decoration by clicking on the "Printable" link (upper right
area).
The skins are not completely done; there are some cosmetic changes that
I know about. For a list of known bugs, see:

Even though the skins aren't perfect, it was felt that the skins were
good enough and a big enough improvement over the old skins that it was
worth putting them out now. Expect to see improvements in the cosmetics
over time. If you are a HTML CSS god or goddess, I would greatly
appreciate some help! See

At some point, I hope to get a sessioning plug-in, which would allow you
to choose
ASSORTED CHANGES
The new skin has a sidebar with commonly visited places. The white
inset has links that are useful for newcomers trying to get oriented;
the other sidebar items have information useful for people with a bit
more familiarity with the project.
The "GO" box -- which looked like a search box but wasn't -- is now a
genuine search box.
"Changes" has moved from the top of the page to the bottom of the sidebar.
One of the most common questions I got was on how to create a page.
"New" doesn't make a page, but now at least takes you to a page that
tells you how. Perhaps someday it will take you to a form that you fill
out with the page name.
The links to different wikis -- which used to be at the upper right of
the page -- are now moved over and color-coded. (I also changed the
colors slightly to give higher contrast.)
On the edit pages, the Forms have been moved over to the right to make
it harder to click on them accidentally when trying to hit the "Preview"
button.
Links for RSS feeds are now at the bottom of the page and not in the
pageinfo boxes.
"More" has been split into different links for Move, Versions, and
Reparent. Those buttons take you to the same place that "More" did, but
it makes it more apparent what you're supposed to do. "Delete", by
contrast, skips a step you formerly had to do.
