Hi Tom,
Creating a first class application on Macintosh, Linux, and Windows is
one of OSAF's top priorities. Creating a great app on OS X is very much
in line with OSAF's core values, and a goal that we feel is at risk, as
wxMac is less mature than the other platforms. We think it would be
helpful to Chandler to have someone at OSAF who is very familiar with
both the Chandler code base and wxPython/wxWindows, to help work out the
various open issues. We'd expect this person to work closely with the
wxPython/wxWindows projects, including wxMac. Due to the risk we see
with Chandler on OS X, we'd like to see interest in and experience with
OS X in particular for this position. That does not mean that *all*
people hired by OSAF or working on Chandler need to have a particular
passion for the Macintosh, just this position.
Cheers,
Katie
