[Dev] Chandler too slow for VMWare

I think there's something in FC2 that does not work well with VMWare. 
Both the FC2 image John prepared and one I prepared per instructions 
myself was painfully slow under VMWare - not just Chandler but everything.

On my 2.2GHz, 1 GB RAM WinXP laptop launching Chandler under VMWare 
(with Debian Linux) takes about 65 seconds to come up the very first 
time. It is actually *faster* launch than launching Chandler natively on 
Windows (that takes 2 minutes on this system).
