[Dev] Chandler too slow for VMWare

I get somewhere between 3.3 to 3.8 minutes launch from a command line
using Linux on VMWare (3Ghz P4, 1G RAM). By comparison on native win32
launch time is 52 seconds on the same machine.

Everything else on VMWare is zippy -- besides Chandler. I guess our
performance is so bad that VMWare isn't an option, so I'm going to have
to go buy a disk to run Chandler on Linux.
