Skype -- an VOIP service -- recently released versions of their software
for Mac OS X and Linux. We might want to consider using it to
communicate inside the Chandler project instead of telephones. It's not
open source, but it is free, cross-platform, and works well.

Ted and I just tested it (me on gentoo Linux and he on Mac OS X), and it
worked perfectly. There was very little delay, and Ted (who had a
headset) sounded perfect to me.

I was using my iPod headphones and the Thinkpad's internal mic, and
being relatively quiet because I didn't want to disturb other people in
the office. I wasn't leaning over to talk in the microphone. Ted said
I sounded soft and slightly far off, but clear.
