[Dev] Tips on exploring Chandler repository?

Hi all,

I'm trying to learn about the repository, with an eye toward building
parcels. I found the PyCrust shell, which is slow but very cool, and I
stumbled onto this tip (on the OSAF site) that gave me access to the
live repository in Chandler:

           >>> from tools.s import *

I'd like to keep exploring the repository APIs in the shell, but it's
been pretty slow going. I'm keeping notes as I go, with an eye to
posting a guide for others who want to learn it in this way. Does such
a document already exist?

Also, is it possible to tap into the running Chandler instance from
"outside" (i.e., from a terminal)? If not, perhaps Twisted could be
used to offer this..

Thanks for any advice,
