[Design] Chandler Sharing as IM for Projects

I've discovered or rather re-discovered a feature of Chandler, which  
is the idea of Chandler Sharing as a way to have Instant Messaging  
organized around a Task or a Project.

To elaborate:

+ Katie and I share the Peepeedee Collection.
+ She added an item: Presentation / demo ideas?
+ I saw it pop to the top of the NOW section, marked as Unread.
+ I took a look at it and wrote: oy in the Notes field.

+ Then I looked at it again and wrote down some topic ideas.

The next time Katie looks at Peepeedee, she'll see the item at the  
top of her NOW section, marked as Unread and she'll see the Notes  
I've added.

This exchange is essentially IM-eque.

It's asynchronous (definitely more asynchronous than say a face-to- 
face meeting or a phonce call).
Yet, it's *not* as asynchronous as e-mail.

+ Without Chandler, she probably would have saved 'Presentation/demo  
ideas' for our next 1-on-1.
+ Without Chandler, I would have worked on a 'draft' of an email of  
ideas for a few days, a week? before sending it to her.

With Chandler, she can 'subtly' add this to the list of things we  
should be thinking about and we can both start working through ideas,  
individually, but always staying in sync.

This half-way point between synchronous (meetings) and asynchronous  
(e-mail) communication allows for a new level of collaboration in the  
same way that IM allowed people to stay in touch with friends and co- 
workers in a way that way more scalable than hanging out 'in-person'  
and way more satisfying than exchanging emails.
