[Design] Assigning 'soft-deadlines' to items as a way to prioritize LATER items

What about this instead? I realize this is going to be wrong for some  
set of people. But I have a feeling that most people's horizon for  
NOW is actually greater than 'Today'.

Ultimately, we'll need a way for users to customize this list.
