[Design] [Cosmo] Account activation redux

I remembered today as a result of our account activation discussion  
that I neglected to ask for design work on the account activation  
workflow. The situation as it stands is as follows:

1) User signs up for account, gets "you need to activate your  
account" and account activation email
2) User checks e-mail, finds "activation link"
3) User clicks on "activation link", is brought to page with  
information about the account and a button that says "Activate account"
4) User clicks on "Activate account", account is activated, user is  
brought to login page.

 From our discussion today, it sounded like people expected the  
actual activation to occur in step 3. Is this what we want to do? I  
have no problem with it, and it would actually make things simpler.
