I dislike popups, too, but I think if we don't give strong warning in
this case it'll undermine the reliability of the NOW section. I want to
never look in the DONE section unless I'm specifically looking for old
stuff. But I'm a fan of Davor's suggestion.

I don't think this really solves the problem, it's easy to have all
section header rows scrolled out of view.

Yeah, that's exactly what we should do, it's easy to implement and
predictable and doesn't involve dialogs.
To rephrase this proposal: Triage should change the section of an item
only if it's not unread (yes, that's a double negative, but from a user
perspective there are lots of states that column represents).
Making those unread items bold sounds good, too, but I think that may
involve more work and thus shouldn't be a requirement for preview.
