calendar canvas mid-edit loses edits in detail view

We probably don't want to wait for a drag, since simply clicking on a
different item from the currently selected one will also wipe out any
changes to the form.
I might suggest slightly different wording for the message -- 'please'
might be taken as a request, as if we *want* them to save their changes.
Maybe something like:
"You have made changes to this event. If you do not save your changes,
they will be lost."
In any case, I think we need to implement this to avoid a lot of users
unintentionally blowing away changes they've made.
