[Design] Rich text in Chandler desktop

In our 1.0 Email Plan design session today, we decided to explore how  
we might be able to squeeze in incremental support for rich-text  
editing in the Previews/1.0 timeframe. We are still not aiming to  
provide a composition environment that replaces people's existing  
email clients. Email composition capabilities today are such that  
many people have replaced word processing apps with email clients  
when composing documents and long messages. Chandler desktop is not  
going to try to become the UI where people create documents.

Instead, we're looking to see how far we can push rich-text  
functionality in support of lightweight task and calendaring  
workflows. e.g. How much rich-text support do users need in order to  
write-up a brief meeting agenda or type up next actions?

Displaying rich-text messages properly.
Questions: Do we need to be able to pop-up windows? resize images?  
What if the message is wider than our detail view Notes field, which  
given how narrow it is, will be very likely.

Support for rich-text editing. Includes ability to manipulate
+ Font-face
+ Font-size
+ Font-color
+ Font-style: Bold, Italics, Underline
+ Secondary Font-styles: Strikethrough, Superscript, Subscript
+ Alignment: Left, Center, Right

Support for drag and drop and in-line, WYSIWYG manipulation of  
images, media, attachments in the body of the message.

Support for independent windows to display individual items. Window  
elements include:
+ Toolbar: Reply, Reply all, Forward, Send/Update
+ Rich text editing toolbar
+ Mark-up bar
+ Detail view fields: Addressing fields, Title, Location, Date/time  
fields, Notes, Labels

+ What kind of Wx work is involved in supporting the features  
enumerated above?
