I don't think it's reasonable to delay alpha4 to implement a feature 
(Purge workflow) that we move out of alpha4 long time ago (Bug 6329).

In the meantime, what you can do to triage a list, is to click on the 
"Title" column in the Dashboard: when sorted that way, items do not move 
when you modify their triage status. I found that workable though, 
clearly, not optimal.

Alpha5 should see an embryonic Purge workflow (Grant proposed a patch 
yesterday but it's too risky for alpha4 IMO).
