Hello,
I  recommended that bug 6857 be moved to Alpha5. The changes required to 
do it right are just to extensive to implement at this stage of a 
development freeze and would risk destabilizing the Alpha 4 code base.

 I detail in bug 6857 my thoughts on what is needed to get the desired 
In / Out behavior.

However, for Alpha 4 I certainly can have the In / Out collections 
appear in the sidebar out of the box.

Thoughts?
