[Design] offline mode and feature creep

I think we could delay offline mode until after preview, with the
possible caveat that Chandler must not get borked if the network is not
available and the user tries to sync or send email etc. I don't think
offline support would cost us users.

On the other hand, a feature like proxy support is something that is a
barrier of entry to a certain segment of potential users.
