We held a 2nd Design Session on Stamping and Communications which
resulted in a lively discussions about Re-engineering stamping on
both the Design and Dev lists. [Next action: Mimi and Katie to
present storyboards for how stamping and communications will work in
0.7 and 1.0.]
I can't actually find Jeffrey's original message: Reengineering
Stamping, which he posted to the Dev list in the archive. However,
it's quoted in full in my reply:
Alec started a second thread with a list of design questions about
Mimi posted a write-up about Stamping and Communications from the
perspective of solving the Email Overload problem:
Mimi forwarded Bug 5403 to the list for discussion, particularly,
what to do when Trashed items are re-imported via File import or
Priscilla sent out a follow-up about the placeholder Scooby logo. She
has reworked both the Scooby logo and the Cosmo logo in the style of
the original Cosmo logo.
Sheila posted the summary for a 2nd round of Dogfood feedback:
Philippe: Hard to tell that I'm not looking at this week. (Which was
followed-up with 3-4 different proposals for solutions.)
Sheila: Likes Preview pane to show Today's events. Led to a
discussion about how to make the behavior less confusing.
Revived Jeffrey's "Collection switching in the calendar" issue, which
led to a new proposal about how to Activate collections in the sidebar.
Ted: It'd be great to re-order collections in the sidebar.
Esther: Ability to copy and paste a recurring meeting with irregular
recurrence schedule. Likes to use keyboard for navigating week to week.
Jim: Posted a number of Dogfood feedback write-ups. Highlights
include: Print, Undo, Unable to figure out how to set timezone for
"The TZ I'm in right now." A number of issues having to do with
"Repository Sync" scenarios where you want to "Subscribe" to your own
collections from a 2nd instance of Chandler on a 2nd machine.
USER INTERVIEWS AND USE CASES
Priscilla posted notes from a user interview with Katie's Book club:
Mimi forwarded a message from Nathan Bauer about general information
management affordances in Chandler:
SURVEY: HOW MANY ITEMS DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CALENDAR/TASK MGMT WORLD?
Katie, Ted, Jeffrey, jim, Sheila, Priscilla, and Lisa have responded
to the survey so far. Here is the original survey request:
