[Design] [D/f] Background for current week

I too have had the same experience. (On iCal AND on my paper New Yorker
calendar.)

I like the watermark idea. I was wondering if most people have their
appointments during the day, is there may be a way to put it off to the
side, so one could still see the watermark perhaps? Even if it's blocked
by a few events, as long as it's in the peripheral vision maybe it's ok?
I would have included a sketch but the file was too big, so please view
it here:

I'm guessing there are issues with transparencies, so I won't touch it.
Though while I was in design mode I couldn't resist a HK-fied version.
Just thinking about the personalization element is huge, and yet is put
on the back burner for so many reasons (which I completely understand).

But suspend your arguments and just think how people could personalize
in addition to 'This Week', you could add clip art, comics, or add text:
Priscilla's Calendar, or keep it default, and have nothing at all.

The other more simplified way of indication is to rethink the background
colors in the week ahead/behind. Change the week ahead/behind background
color to a light gray, maybe today's date as light blue?? Just a thought.
