[Design] [D/f] Bug 4610: preview area

I've been using Chandler for about a month now, I like having the
preview pane always display events for "today".
One common use case for me is to bring the calendar to the fore just for
a second to look at what my schedule looks like today. I like being able
to look in one corner of the screen, to be able to rely on that showing
me today's events, regardless of the state I left the app in the last
time I used it.
At PyCon, I really noticed when that list didn't have all of "my" events
for the day in it (a bug). That feature alone (the preview pane) is
motivation enough for me to be particular about which collections I mark
as "mine".
I don't think I would find it that useful for the preview pane to
reflect the currently selected day -- I can find that info easily enough
by browsing around the big calendar view.
Cheers,
Katie
