We have just updated our Cosmo Demo server to Cosmo 0.4. Many of you
may still be running a version of Chandler that has various existing
"subscribed to" and or "published" calendars. Although you may choose
to, you do not need to reinstall a new version of Chandler with a
fresh repository and you can use the 0.6 or 0.7Alpha2 version you are
running.
+ If you publish calendars, setup a new account on Cosmo Demo https://
cosmo-demo.osafoundation.org/. In Chandler go to Files->Accounts,
select your sharing account and make sure you have all the current
info entered. I created a new account with the same username and
password so I didn't need to change any of my settings. If you only
subscribe you do not need to have an account on Cosmo Demo at all.
+ If you have shares in your sidebar you have subscribed to, you can
go ahead and delete the collections. Select the collection in the
sidebar and click Edit->Delete Collection. You will need new URLs
from whoever sent them in order to re-subscribe to those shares again.
+ If you have published shares you could...
+ A: Select the collection in the sidebar and click the Collection-
>Unpublish menu item. Once that's done you can just re-publish again
to create new URLs.
+ B: Alternatively, make sure you have exported your calendar to an
ics file, delete the collection from the sidebar, re-import that ics
file into Chandler, then re-publish to create new tickets.
+ If you are starting from scratch with a new Chandler and a fresh
repository, you simply import all your calendars and re-publish each
individually on the server.
Based on feedback we have received already the PPD team will work on
ideas to make this a bit smoother in the future. Also, we are
currently experiencing some timeouts on Cosmo Demo so you may need to
try publishing or subscribing several times. Thanks in advance for
your patience while we work on troubleshooting this problem.
