There's an issue we want to iron out before putting it into the
Sharing spec.
In 0.6, we assumed that users were only using the Calendar App area.
As a result, we designed the Sharing Publish dialog in a way that
made it possible for users to share calendars without having to worry
about the other Kinds of Items that could live in their Collections.
Moving forward however, do we want to change our assumptions? Move
away from a calendar-centric model and assume that users will want to
share Collections across all App areas?
There are 2 dialogs below. The top dialog is what you see when you
share the first time.
+ If you're in the Calendar App, Chandler assumes you're only sharing
the collection Calendar
+ If you're in the Task App, Chandler assumes you're only sharing the
collection Task list
+ If you're in the Mail App, Chandler assumes you're only sharing the
collection Mailbox
+ If you're in the All App, Chandler assumes you're sharing All App
areas in the collection
The bottom dialog is how users can Manage a collection and add more
App areas to the shared collection
Priscilla shared the Calendar portion of one of her collections and
assumed that she had shared the entire collection. When she went to
restore her shares in Alpha2, she was confused that her Tasks didn't
show up as well.
Which makes me wonder, should we make it clearer to users that each
collection can be split up into 3 App areas: (Mailbox, Task list,
Calendar) and that users have control over which of those App areas
they share?
In short, should we be presenting the 'Manage share' dialog to users
in place of the 'Collection Sharing' dialog?
