[Design] Performance issues to concentrate on in alpha3?

We've set performance improvements as a big item for alpha3, but one of
the problems we are facing is that we don't have the performance tests
(yet) for the new use cases we are interested in. (I'll be working on
these this week, now that we seem to have gotten the Tinderbox perf
tests stable again.)

So, I would like you to respond to this message to let us know what the
biggest performance issues are that are bothering you when you are using
Chandler.
