As a continuation of our DesktopWebWorkflows Design Session,
Priscilla has asked me send out a design proposal for how the mailto-
link feature will work in Scooby 0.3...

Please respond with any questions / comments.

(Screenshots for this workflow will be delivered as a part of the 0.3
visual design deliverables)

GAINING ACCESS TO THE SHARE
1. Casual Collaborator (CC) receives a read-write URL ticket to share
the Office calendar via email.
2. CC needs to add vacation PTO to the Office calendar.
3. CC looks for the email with the read-write URL ticket and clicks
on it.

ADDING INFORMATION TO THE SHARE
4. Shared Office calendar launches in their default web browser.
5. CC clicks away from Scooby to search for an email from spouse
which has their exact vacation dates on it
6. CC returns to Scooby and uses the Jump-to date field to Jump-to
the vacation start date, which is 4 weeks away
7. CC d-clicks in the all-day area of the calendar canvas to create
an all-day event and drags on the end of it to turn it into a multi-
day, all-day event.
8. CC types a little note in the Notes field of the event: Off to
France with family.

SENDING
9. CC clicks on an 'Email this' link to send a notification
10. CC's default mail client is launched (if it's not open already)
and a new message is automatically created:

Subject line = Event title
Body = Date/time information PLUS text from the Notes field of the
event.

Date/time information includes:
    * Start date/time
    * End date/time
    * Timezones
    * Recurrence rules
    * Recurrence end date

11. CC enters email address(es) of people to notify.

12. Sharees receive the notification in their email clients.

QUESTION
13. Nice-to-have: It would be great if Sharees who are Desktop users
could receive Scooby notifications in the Desktop client as well.
I've already asked about inserting special Ecosystem Headers into the
email (which is not possible to do) that the Desktop client could
look for when selectively pulling down email. However, I wonder if we
could insert something into the Body of the email that the Desktop
could look for.

This would complete the workflow and allow Chandler users to receive
Scooby communications in the client.

Thanks,

Mimi
