Decisions
We closed on the floating timezone proposal: deciding to go with a
preference to turn on timezones and to present events as "floating"
if the timezone preference is turned off. [Next action: Write and
review spec.]
0.7 issues
Mimi sent out a meeting agenda for the Open Design Session:
Scheduling and Invitation Workflows. The meeting agenda was
eventually changed to address communications in Chandler from a
broader perspective. Notes can be found here: http://
lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2006-January/003986.html
We continued the thread on Invitation workflows, touching on
interoperability issues (Jeffrey and Lisa) as well as user mental
modeling (Alec) and more interaction workflows (Philippe). [Next
action: 2nd Design Session on Scheduling and Invitations.]
John sent out some 3rd party possibilities for implementing sections
in the Table widget. [Next action: Apps team reviewing options right
now.]
Dogfood
Sheila summarized the Dogfood feedback for 0.6 calendaring. [Next
action: Design to bucketize feedback into "release plan" proposal.]
Mimi started a thread on how it might be difficult for people to
understand that Chandler calendar collections can behave the same as
Categories in Outlook calendar. Jeffrey continued it which led to
some specific proposals from Alec about how we could auto-categorize
email for users. [Next action: Propose "Organization Models" as a
topic for a post 0.7 planning Design Session.]
Ted passed on some dogfood feedback from the blogosphere re: error
handing.
1.0 Issues
Mimi posted notes from an ad-hoc meeting about Email during sprint
week. A proposal was put forth to treat Email as support for
Calendaring, Dashboard and Extensions to Chandler in 1.0. [Next
action: Sheila to send out a more formal proposal.]
Jeffrey proposed an idea for a "temporary" collection tray for items
a la Picasa.
Mimi posted notes from an ad-hoc design meeting with Morgen, Ted,
Bear and Priscilla during sprint week proposing a unified approach to
getting data in and out of Chandler. [Next action: Follow up with:
"What should we do about this in 0.7" meeting (once we've nailed down
Dashboard and Invitations).]

Community
Ted sent out a call for projects we could work on with OSU's OSL
(Oregon State University - Open Source Lab) [Next action: Group to
submit ideas.]
Brendan wrote in asking for directions to the nearest Vista prototype.
Priscilla announced an IRC Scooby channel mtg on community last
Friday. (summary notes to follow)

Process
Sheila proposed a new tag for hilighting "last calls" for input
before final decisions are made.
Katie proposed changes to IRC and would like feedback: more often,
more informal and open to anyone to facilitate a topic. [Next action:
Feedback from the group.]
Mimi proposed processes around eliciting Dogfood feedback from users
who come to the list and/or IRC channels for tech support.
