I have kUbuntu Breezy installed, and it's not that gcc 3.4 is not a 
supported package, it's just not installed by default. But it is 
available through the main repository and so is easy to install through 
the package manager. Not ideal, but not too onerous either, for those 
who want to build Chandler themselves.
