[Design] [Sum] Dogfood feedback so far (Part 3)

Here is a summary of the activity on the list since last post. As per  
the process, Mimi and I have tagged each item to one of the dogfood  
buckets. I will be logging bugs for many of these and updating the  
main calendar dogfood page so this stuff is evaluated for alpha 3.

Things that prevent me from even experimenting/playing with Chandler
+ Cannot restart Chandler - a few occurrences of these Bug#: 5507

Things that prevent me from using Chandler day to day
+ I can't seem to copy URLs to clipboard anymore for the PPD calendar  
- Bug#: 5446
+ I tried to subscribe to my calendars from iCal so that I could keep  
them in sync in case Chandler died on me. iCal no longer supports  
https and I didn't know to try removing the s from the URL. Bug#5325
+ The visual separation between events makes it difficult to read my  
calendar when I have many back to back meetings.
+ Awkward bugs when editing shared calendars - some events getting  
overwritten.
+ Chandler won't respond to quitting when restarting my computer.

Nice to have and interaction annoyances (inconsistencies?)
+ If I share My Calendar the URL that gets created is  
<username>_calendar. When I go to restore shares, it's not obvious in  
the list that this is the My Calendar collection.
+ Getting lost in the calendar canvas, and creating events on the  
wrong week. We should have a special visual indicator so you can tell  
the background for the current week.
+ Want to be able to drag emails into Chandler
+ It doesn't make sense for Anytime events and @Time events to have  
event status.
+ Tried to copy and paste an event, and the behavior was awkward, not  
consistent to my expectations as a user. See 3/21/06 --6:24 PM entry.
+ Preview pane not refreshing to display Today's events. Shows  
yesterday's events. Bug#5588
+ Tooltips for Stamping buttons in Mark-up bar are not working in 0.6.1
+ On Linux (maybe Mac/Windows). When the reminder dialog pops up and  
there is only a single reminder, we ought to select that reminder.    
Right now you have to click to select that single reminder, and then  
click the snooze/dismiss button.

Nice to have for "ultra" usable calendar
+ Like to see location on the calendar lozenge

Feature requests outside the scope of calendaring
+ Task list that carries over to the following week if the tasks are  
not completed
+ Alarms for emails for which I do not receive a response
+ Ability to import .PST files
+ Email filters
+ Ability to sync only within an app area rather than just a single  
collection
+ Task list doesn't quite work yet
+ I've been wanting collection overlays to be unique to the App area.

Potential design issues to discuss
+ URL field in events as in Thunderbird calendar
+ Special color coding of events within a particular calendar
+ Always editing in the event details are sometimes a problem as  
there are times when I type in the wrong year, and then my event is  
lost. ie. I type in 1/1/2006 (as a end date for recurring events) and  
then have to find my event to fix my mistake.

Recurring feedback
+ Performance
+ Refresh rate
+ Chandler died and I can't restart unless I delete my repository
+ Mobile device support - sync calendars
+ Problems using the notes field
