[Design] How should this work?

I just fixed this today - the rule I used is "if there is only room for 
1 or 2 lines of text, show the only the title" (thus it is is 
independent of how long the event is, and is based entirely on available 
vertical space)

its a  pretty simple rule - we could make it more complicated, like 
calculating the total number of lines in the event title and giving 
those lines priority over the time and so forth, or we could make it "if 
there is only room for 1 line of text" very easily as well. I was just 
going for a first-cut at inserting the logic.
