We did read the ReMail papers, they were interesting -- but there 
weren't actually that many ideas that we hadn't seen or thought of 
before.  (Using arcs to represent threads was cool and new and 
different.  That was one thing -- but it didn't seem to really merit 
discussion.)

I did a pretty thorough brain dump on email before I started at OSAF --
