I posted the following to this list on November 12th:

===================================================================

I'm a FileMaker developer by trade, and have been an avid PIM user
since 1991. I've tried many PIMs over the years, but keep coming back
to Info Select. The main problem I had with both Ecco and Zoot is
that they are just too darn complicated. Info Select simply made
sense from the moment I started using it more than 11 years ago.

I store just about everything in it. I have over 3,000 notes in it,
and it truly is my surrogate brain.

One thing that makes Info Select very quick, is modality. If you
aren't specifically in an Edit mode, then you can have single
keystrokes perform functions... no modifier-key required. So, for
example, to create a new note, I simply type "N". And, the keystrokes
are user-assignable.

While Info Select is the best free-form information manager I've
found so far, I don't care for their email implementation... and am
not crazy about their scheduling/to-dos either. I guess it goes
without saying that Chandler should be able to talk to a Palm or
other hand-held device.

Finally, I threw together a web page showing some uses of Info
Select. www.kevinfrank.com/info_select.html
