Using the item/attribute metaphor that was discussed here a week or so ago, 
I can see where you would attach "to-do" or "task" attributes to the email 
item.  Rather than it being an email that you are using as a reminder, it's 
exposed in the task view as something that you need to do, with a "link" 
back to the spawning item.
