[Design] the button I want

Hi everybody. I've been unhappy with most email programs I've been
using in the last few years for one reason or another. I'm currently
using Mac OS X Mail, mostly because I can set it so it won't download
images for HTML email. I've also got some light Outlook experience
(incredibly frustrating) and I used to be a big Eudora user. I've
always kept an eye out for something better, and have even worked a bit
on a system of my own, but until recently with things like Zoe and this
project there just hasn't seemed to be much innovation in the area.

I like the item/view architecture that is proposed for this system.
It's always bugged me that my email clients treat an email message like
a piece of paper, which can only be filed under one folder. I can
never quite make up my mind about where to put things, and so I wind up
with either a giant Inbox or a big mess of folders I can never find
anything in. Although I never got to use Agenda it looks like one
message existing in only one place is not a problem it has.

The button I want is something called 'Dismiss'. I tend to use my
inbox as something of an action list -- I go through it and look at the
emails and handle them in whatever manner I have to. When the email no
longer requires my attention, I want to press this Dismiss button and
have it disappear. It'll still be there in the archive, of course, but
it won't take any of my attention.

With the Agenda style architecture, I'm guessing a button like this
could just remove the message from whatever view it came from.

Thanks for listening to my ideas, I'm looking forward to helping out
with this project.
