A potential additional future direction would be looking at file
management -- if the infrastructure to share/publish documents in a p2p
fashion is already present, managing them locally would be a logical
extension, providing the same hierarchical and non-hierarchical indexing
capabilities, as well as associating them with the metadata already
present in the system -- contacts, projects, meetings, etc.  This would
allow the system to present a total view of all the user's activities.  An
interface view like Gelernter's Lifestreams might be a useful addition, as
calendar data, emails, etc, would round out the file based view of
history.
