The "Start Date" and "End Date" fields were set so that they appeared in the Caldendar's Tickler section. But one could change these settings, and create other date-fields that didn't appear in the Calendar. (For example, if I created a "date stamp" field (i.e., when I added an item, the current date would appear in that field), I wouldn't want it to appear in the calendar.) There was one odd bit about Ecco, dates, and the Calendar. If you added a _time_ to any data in a Date field, it would always be displayed in the Calendar. Great to see another Ecco enthusiast here!
